Mortgage Interest Rates 3/29/2019

Low Rates would be the headline this week.  The FED decided on Wednesday not to raise interest rates 2 times this year, and keep short-term rates steady.  This is opening the door for long-term rates to continue to drop.  Many forecasters are showing 30 year fixed rates to decline steadily into the coming months.  They have already dropped close to 1% over the past 120 days since high’s reached in November of 2018.

It’s times like this I like to remind my referral sources that we include a free float down option, in writing, to our customers.  This allows us to float down their locked interest rate during the loan process if rates drop.  Not many things make a customer happier than calling them the week before closing to let them know you floated them down to a lower rate free of charge 😊  Let’s ride these low rates into an awesome spring market together!!!  Always available 252-207-2665
